At The Highline

I've never been so glad to come home from NYC before in my life. Don't get me wrong, the trip was fantastic: we saw South Pacific at the Lincoln Center, caught a ball game at Citi Field, ate at some hip eateries (Locanda Verde, The Standard Grill, Pulino's, Otto, Shake Shack, Momofuku Milkbar, Clinton Street Baking...), and hit up pretty much all of the speakeasys in the East Village. But the heat was sweltering.

It feels so deliciously good to bask in LA's unseasonly mild summer weather. I'm hitting the ground running with a few writing assignments before taking off on another surf trip to mainland Mexico. Stay tuned for some blog updates -- like my personal travel tips and city guides.
