Hollywood Bowl and Apple Pan

We finally made it out to the Hollywood Bowl last Friday night.  I almost thought an entire summer was going to pass without a visit.  Luckily, Michael Kohl (who is in a boy band called XY) hooked us up and we went along with our other friend B.

Harry Connick, Jr. was playing with his Big Band and the L.A. Phil.  I think it was all covers but it was still enjoyable.  I liked his piano skills.  We ultimately left a little early to fit in Brendan's, B's, and my inaugural visit to the Apple Pan to try MMK's favorite burger and pie.

The burgers were delicious but the pies seemed more on the hit-or-miss side.  It's a cool, little, old-timey spot and if you come visit us in L.A., we will be sure to take you there (but only if Mike agrees to come along as well).
